JANICE PARROTT
I trained as a massage therapist in 2013 and spent over a decade practicing bodywork and refining my techniques. Hungry for learning, I have enjoyed many internships with world-class practitioners, learning and designing a practice where clients came in with chronic pain and walked out moving differently. The work kept getting more specific. I went back for corrective-exercise and nutrition certifications. I opened the Lab to do it all under one roof, on the same body, in the same hour.
“Every body is a one-person study. Measure first. Fix what's actually broken. Load what's strong. Recheck the numbers and adjust.”
RESULTS
“I went to Janice to help with some nagging injuries and overall muscle soreness from lifting, jiu jitsu and day to day life. She was very thorough and patient, listening to what I was experiencing while assessing where I needed the most work done. Thanks to Janice, I no longer have those nagging injuries (some I’ve had for over a year) and feel so much stronger in the areas that were bothering me.”
“Janice offers her own brand of massage, skillfully combining a wide range of techniques. She really listens to what the body is saying and responds. It was refreshing to receive her blend of stretching, rhythmic rocking and traditional massage. I felt amazing after and understood better where my body was holding tension.”
“After 30 years in various construction trades my dominant shoulder was in chronic pain. I felt pretty broken, and had resigned myself to either surgery, or a desk job. I started to see Janice once a week for a period of about 6 months. As long as I stay on course with the exercises she prescribed, my shoulder stays limber and functional. I am no longer in constant discomfort. The capability to do the things that I once did has been restored, and I no longer feel afraid to do physical things for fear that I will hurt myself. ”
